Andrew Flittner is a dedicated professional, educator, and lifelong learner whose passion for public service and education has profoundly shaped his career and community contributions. He holds four degrees from Indiana University.

Professional Experience

With over 20 years in insurance consulting and 13 years as an independent agent, Andrew has developed a deep understanding of the health insurance landscape, particularly in terms of policy and market complexities. His career is marked by a specialized focus on the senior market, where he has advocated for the rights and needs of older adults, ensuring they receive fair and transparent service in selecting Medicare and other health plans.

Andrew's ethical approach to business and client service is widely recognized. He has gained a reputation for prioritizing the well-being of his clients over business gains, particularly in protecting seniors from deceptive marketing practices.

Academic Contributions

More recently, Andrew has begun sharing his  knowledge with the next generation as an adjunct professor at Marian University. Here, he teaches courses that draw from his rich background in law, public health, and policy analysis, inspiring students to engage critically with these disciplines.

His vision for IU centers on enhancing the university's role in public service, health education, and community engagement, ensuring it continues to serve as a beacon of innovation and integrity in higher education.

Andrew lives in Hamilton County with his wife, Stephanie, and their two children. In his free time, he enjoys camping and historic automobiles.
